Renal cell carcinomas occuring in childhood have rarely been described. The differential diagnosis is extensive and can be difficult, despite modern immunohistochemical techniques. In this paper, a 6 year-old girl with a sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma is presented and a comprehensive diagnosis of malignant renal tumors is presented.
