Central neurocytomas are 0.25-0.5% of all intracranial tumors. They occur frequently in young adults and in the intraventricular location. They present a good prognosis if they can be resected totally. It is suggested that when the tumour has a high proliferative index (MIB1-LI>2%) its clinical presentation can be more aggressive and radiotherapy can be required even after total excision. Central neurocytoma which has a proliferative index of more than 2%, may have more aggressive biological behaviour and poor clinical outcome, regardless of the histological atypia. The presented case had MIB1-LI >2% (4.3%) and radiotherapy was applied.
